自述

塑料这种由树脂等高分子化合物与配料混合成的物质材料,经过受热加压,变成具有轻盈、绝缘、耐腐蚀的物质,可以说,在我拍摄的藏区任何地方都有它的踪影。我让拍摄体蒙上塑料,在哪个特定的语境下,我把塑料理解为是一个分界线,在它的后面就是藏民族繁衍生息的地方,是他们生活的世界,他们透过塑料观看。而塑料的对面也就是代表作者和观众一方则是透过塑料这种带有时代印记的东西解读代表人类这个大家庭一个分支的族群。

在藏区拍摄这组图片,从取景框里我看着我的被摄体带着一种怀疑有时是窥视甚至想逃避的神情注视着我,如果我不很快摁下快门,哪个我要寻找的画面就会稍纵即逝。也许这个被定格的画面只是无限贴近我最终想表达的意思,也许永远不会和我的最初想法相交或重叠。

藏民族是人类大家庭的一个族群,在独特的雪域高原,站在人类的高度,关注他们的过去、停留和去向,就是关心这个族群的命运,也是关注人类的大命运。我列好拍摄计划,然后行走,等那个图景与我在某一时空里碰撞,然后我迅速记录,而那个标点物的出现,既塑料这个道具,我一般在现场就能从地上捡到。蒙上塑料的拍摄体能反映出他们对我进入的一种回绝、阻挡和警惕,这样使得我最终形成的图像具有一种既有“攻击性”又有欲握手言好的矛盾体特质。

Self description

Anywhere when i shot pictures in Tibet, I saw the trace of plastic, a substance material which is made of colophony and other macromolecule compound with mixtures. After they are heated and pressed, they become soft, insulated and anti-corrosion substance. I cover the objects with plastic, in which in the special context, i take plastic as a boundary, behind which there is the place where the Tibetan ethnic multiply and live on, there is the world they view through the plastic. And the opposite the plastic, it is the side of the author and audience, who read this ethnic representing a branch of the human family through plastic, marked with the imprint of the times.

When shooting the group of images in Tibet, i saw my objects being shot staring at me in an expression of doubt and sometimes peering or even evasive through the camera aperture. If i did not press the shutter at once, the picture i am looking for will soon disappear. Maybe the framed scene is only infinitely close to what i wanted to express, maybe it would never intersect or overlap with my initial thought.

Tibetan is a ethnic group of the big human family. When we stand at the height of human being on this snow land of plateau, paying attention to their past, stay and trace, we are caring about the fate of the ethnic and thus the fate of the whole human being. I have arranged my shooting plan and traveled. When the image bumped into me in some space time, then i recorded it at once. The show up of the point object, which is the property of plastic, i usually can pick up them at the scene from the ground. Objects being shot covered by plastic can show their resistance, obstruction and caution to my entry, which forms the special contradiction quality of my images both being aggressive and also wants to make peace.
